Chanel: Mademoiselle Prive

Hi Guys
Hope everyone is having a good Week.
I know its slightly late, but last week I went to the Chanel: Mademoiselle Prive exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in Sloan Square, and as expected, it was PACKED, but completely worth it. The whole exhibition was powered by an interactive app with additional images and information.
Here are a few of my photos from the event.
Interactive app: showing Chanel in her studio.

But out of the whole exhibition, my favourite room was the Chanel No5 with all the perfume bottles on the floor, which opened up randomly during our time in there, with smoke coming out. Although to be honest, I was a little dissappointed that you couldn't smell anything from it (but hey, you can't win them all I guess).
(Not my photos but still pretty amazing)

Now onto my outfit.

Coco Chanel Once Said “The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.” and currently, I am loving all back. I love the embellishments on the shoulders and how my Burgundy Backpack adds just a pop of Autumnal Colour.

Jumper and Jeans: Topshop
Shoes and Bag: Newlook.

OOTD: Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal

Hey guys!

So today I had the awesome opportunity to see the Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal exhibition at the Bowes Museum in Bernard Castle, County Durham. After months of trying to find the time to go, I put my foot down and went 'up North' for the weekend.

The exhibition was held at the Bowes Museum, which looks like a old-style french Chateaux. It was absolutely beautiful and I would definitely recommend anyone to go there if they are ever in the area.

Anyway, I will write a proper review of the exhibition and share some of my photos with you, but until then, here is a cheeky outfit of the day post.

Jumper: H&M, Fur Gillet: Stradivarius, Jeggings: Newlook, Boots: Newlook, Bag: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: Fatface.

I have been loving Burgundy this Autumn, and every Autumn (this look was obviously accompanied with some burgundy Lips). I wanted a pretty simple look so I teamed it with some ripped jeans. fur Gillet and heeled Boots. In all honestly, I probably should have skipped out on the boots and opted for some slightly more practical shoes, as Bernard Castle is a pretty 'Hilly' Village and we did a LOT of walking, but these boots were still fairly comfortable for the whole day.

Until next time.

Fashions Finest Series 10 at London Fashion Week

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending one of the Off Schedule shows for Fashions Finest, an events. The Fashions Finest shows give opportunities for upcoming designers to showcase their collections over the London Fashion Week period.

I'm sure every other person who goes to a Fashion Week event, probably has their outfit planned out at least a week in advance. I on the other hand only had the space of three days. In the end I decided to go for a pretty classic look with a few minor twists.

Cue the awkward posing.

Shirt: Forever 21, Skirt: H&M, Gilet: Stradivarius, Boots: Newlook

Since the September Fashion Weeks signify the beginning of the beginning of the Autumn/Winter season, so I decided to darken my makeup with smoked-out gold/red eyes and berry lips. I loved how the look turned out (given that I sort of winged it) so I think this may become one of my everyday looks for this season.

My Autumn Make-up.
Yesterday was also my first opportunity to watch the Runway show for Aaugust, whom I had recently met through mutual friends. I loved their unique designs.

We also got the opportunity to look around the exhibitions for some of the designers that had showcased their work, One of which was an sunglasses designer, Victor Wong. He also let me try on some of the collection.

And of course there had to be a slight outfit change during the evening in the form of this Burgundy oversized jumper from H&M.

Fashions Finest was an awesome experience, and I can't wait for their show next season.

OOTD: Teja Family Reunion

So today I thought I would do a little bit of a throwback (even though its not a Thursday, because I'm like that).

In may, we had the Teja/Mackay family come down to London and Bournemouth from San Antonio Texas, along with their little bundle of Joy, that is 1 year old Bailey Marie Mackay. It was awesome spending time with them and obviously it was used as the perfect opportunity to get the family together for a reunion.

Here is my outfit from that reunion.

Top: Zara, Jeans: Topshop, Trainers: NewLook

Because it was a family function, I did have to smarten up the look a little. Normally I would have worn this top with my favourite pair of ripped black jeans and a cute pair of boots. I have had this top for 2 years now and it has become my favourite item in my wardrobe.

All of the photography from this blog post was provided by my Brother, Jamil Teja. Please check out his blog here.

Until next time

My current Top 5 TV shows - 2015

Hey everyone!

Seeing as I’m sick in bed today (L), I’ve been using this as an opportunity to catch up with all my favorite TV shows, with a mug of Lemon and Ginger Tea. So I thought I would share with you some of the Television shows that I have been hooked on in 2015.

1. RuPaul’s Drag Race

'May the best Women Win!'

I know this show has been around for 2009, and I’m pretty sure they used to show it at some ridiculous hour in the UK, but I started watching it in April, and have literally been hooked on it ever since. Having watched all seven seasons, I have loved watching all the drama, the Make-up and off course, the ‘Eleganza Extravaganza’. There are also some hilarious moments and quotes.

Game of Thrones

'When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die, there is no middle ground'

What is a top 5 TV shows list be without this show. Again, I was really slow to get on the bandwagon with this show, only starting watching it in March. For me, if the first episode doesn’t grip me, then I’m not interested in continuing with it, and this was the case for me with Game of Thrones. There are some great characters in it and obviously I won’t forget the Dragons. I can’t wait for the sixth Season.

Empire

The Lyon's Roar

I know this started coming on E4 in the UK at the end of April, but from watching the first episode on TV, I simply couldn’t wait for the final 11 episodes of the Series to come on the TV so off course I binge-watched it on a rainy day. The soundtrack is also awesome and have become a part of my summer playlist this year.  If you haven’t started to watch it yet, I definitely recommend it.

The Big Bang Theory

'I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested'

I have been a fan of The Big Bang Theory since it first aired on TV. Whenever I’m at home with my family, its what’s always on and we watch it together. Off course my favorite character is Sheldon, and he comes with his own collection of catchphrases that will have you roaring with laughter. Although the final episode kind of left me feeling sad (I won’t post any spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet) and it ended on a sort of cliff hanger (not literally), So I am hoping that will be resolved in the beginning of the next season.

Desperate Housewives

The Residents of Wisteria are nothing, if not loyal

Again I know this ended years ago, but I was never one to watch it regularly and would miss episodes, leaving me so confused about the storyline. So I decided to restart it this year. I’m currently on season 4 and can’t wait to finish the show.

Obviously 2015 is not over, so I hope to start more TV shows, and maybe towards the end of the year, I will upload an updated version of this list.

Until next time

The Brits 2015

This week, some of the music industry's finest stars flocked to the O2 arena in London for a night of live music awards and of course, Red Carpet fashion. Here are some of my favourite looks from the night's red carpet.

Taylor Swift wearing Robert Cavalli
Cara Delavine in Saint Laurent, Janelle Monet wearing Emporio Armani and  Emma Bunton

Fearne Cotton, Ashley Robberts and Holly Willoughby
And the boys were on point this year too:

Calvin Harris wearing Emporia Armani, James Bay in Burberry, George Ezra in Burberry and Sam Smith in Casley-Hayford
Now I can't talk about the Brits without mentioning the Madonna/Cape fiasco. During her performance, Madona was wearing a Spanish Bull fighter inspired outfit plus cape, designed by Armani. Unfortunately, something went wrong and she was unable to undo the cape in time, before her dancers pulled it off, causing her to fall backwards. Although it did partly ruin her performance, but like a true performa, she got up again and kept on going.

All in all, the brits were great to watch this year and I can't wait for next year.

57th Grammy Awards: Red Carpet Round-up

So last night, Music's finest gathered at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California, for an unforgettable night of music, awards and fashion. Of course, here is are a selection of my favourite looks from the night.

Ariana Grande Big Sean Grammy's 2015 versace red carpet

Ariana Grande is probably one of my current favourite artists, and last night, she was definitely one of the best dressed. Having seen her style at other Red Carpet events, I was expecting her to arrive wearing her signature crop top and midi skirt combination. However, she surprised us all with this white Versace gown with cutout and metallic details. Her make-up was elegant and of course, Miss Grande is rarely seen without her signature high ponytale. She totally rocked this outfit and had her arm candy (Big Sean) by her side.... So cute.

Other Red Carpet highlights for me included:
Taylor Swift Elie Saab
Taylor Swift wore an Elie Saab gown with Giuseppe Zannoti Heels
Nicki Minaj Tom Ford Long Black Dress
Nicki Minaj wore a Tom Ford
Anna Kendrick in Band of Outsiders suit and jimmy chop heels
Anna Kendrick wearing Band Of Outsiders suit and Jimmy Choo heels.

Unfortunately, not everyone gets it right on the night, so here are a few of my least favourite outfits of the night (no offence)....

Kim Kardashian Grammy's 2015
Kim Kardashian
Madona
Iggy Azalea
All in all, the whole night looked amazing, and congratulations to all of the award winners from this year.
